Lindos nightlife is relaxed and atmospheric rather than wild. Evenings revolve around late dinners and rooftop cocktail bars facing the illuminated Acropolis, with a classic rock bar and a couple of clubs for dancing in summer. For big clubs and bar streets, head to Faliraki or Rhodes Town.
People often ask us whether Lindos has nightlife. The honest answer is yes, but not the kind you find in a party resort. There are no superclubs and no bar crawls. Instead, evenings in Lindos are slow and beautiful: a late dinner on a rooftop, a cocktail with the floodlit Acropolis above you, and maybe some dancing if you are in the mood.
Here is what Lindos is really like after dark, from a family that has run a small hotel in the village since 1989.
What is the nightlife like in Lindos?
Atmospheric, grown-up and mostly outdoors. The village is car-free, so the evening is spent walking: from your room to dinner, from dinner to a rooftop bar, then home through the lanes. The Acropolis is lit up after dark and dominates the skyline.
The rhythm is late and relaxed, Greek-style. Many people have dinner around nine, move on to a cocktail bar afterwards and stay out as late as they like. In high summer the lanes are busy until late. In spring and autumn the mood is calmer.
What are the best bars in Lindos?
These bars were all operating in the 2026 season, based on their own channels and recent visitor reviews:
- Lindos By Night. A rooftop cocktail bar spread over three floors, with DJ sets and views of the Acropolis. It has been serving cocktails since 1982, so it is something of a Lindos institution.
- Socrates Bar (“Sox”). The village’s rock bar, in an old captain’s house with a roof garden. It describes itself as the oldest rock bar in Lindos, established in 1975. Expect classic rock and live music.
- Courtyard Bar. A rooftop cocktail bar with live music and Greek nights, which bills its roof as the highest in Lindos.
- Dreams Cocktail Bar. In the centre of the village, with rooftop gardens looking over the houses to the Acropolis.
Opening days and times change through the season, so check a bar’s own social media channels before you plan a special night.
Are there clubs in Lindos?
A few, mostly open in high summer only:
- Arches. The Arches team runs a nightclub in the village and Arches Plus, an open-air club on the main Rhodes to Lindos road, by the upper car park. Arches Plus operates during the summer season on selected event nights, often with guest DJs, and its 2026 season closed on 26 September.
- Amphitheatre Club. An open-air club on the main road next to the Lindos viewpoint, facing the Acropolis, with mostly Greek live acts. It has been running for more than 25 years, according to its own website, and opened its 2026 season on 4 July.
Clubs here start late, often after midnight. Because the two open-air venues are on the main road above the village, you walk up to them rather than through the lanes.
Is Lindos nightlife good for couples?
It is one of the best places on Rhodes for a romantic evening. Watch the light fade over the bay, have dinner on a rooftop terrace with the Acropolis glowing above you, then end the night with a cocktail and a slow walk home through the whitewashed lanes. If you are planning a honeymoon or anniversary, our Rhodes honeymoon guide has more ideas.
Is Lindos good for families in the evening?
Yes, in a gentle way. Families eat a little earlier, then stroll the lanes, browse the shops and stop for ice cream.
Keep in mind that the village is stepped and cobbled. A light buggy or a baby carrier makes evenings easier. If your children need more entertainment, Faliraki and Rhodes Town offer more, but most families find the slower pace of Lindos a pleasure.
How late do things stay open?
Later than you might expect in summer, and earlier in spring and autumn. There is no single closing time for the village. Each venue sets its own hours, and the clubs open only on event nights.
Greece also has national quiet hours, enforced by the Hellenic Police. From 1 April to 30 September they run from 23:00 to 07:00 (plus an afternoon rest from 15:00 to 17:30), and from 1 October to 31 March from 22:00 to 07:30. In practice this means late-night music is concentrated in licensed venues, and residential lanes quieten down.
Many venues close for the winter. In 2026, Arches Plus held its closing party on 26 September, while several bars in the village stay open well into October.
How do you get back to Rhodes Town or Faliraki at night?
Check the last bus before you go out. As of October 2026, KTEL’s official timetables showed:
| Period | Last bus Lindos to Rhodes Town | Last bus Rhodes Town to Lindos |
|---|---|---|
| Summer (6 July to 10 September 2026) | 21:45 | 22:15 |
| May and early October 2026 | 20:45 | 21:30 |
The Lindos to Rhodes Town buses also serve Faliraki. Check the official KTEL Rhodes timetable for your dates, as the schedule changes through the year.
After the last bus, you will need a taxi from the rank at the top of the village or a pre-booked transfer. In high summer, book your return in advance, as demand is high late at night. Or, simpler still, stay in Lindos and walk home.
Where is the bigger nightlife on Rhodes?
If you want bar streets and big clubs, head north:
- Faliraki is the island’s party resort, with most of its nightlife concentrated on Bar Street and Club Street. Our comparison of Lindos vs Faliraki explains the difference in atmosphere.
- Rhodes Town has a lively bar scene in the New Town, including Orfanidou Street, and bars around Hippocrates Square in the Old Town.
Both are an hour or so from Lindos by road, so a night out there means a taxi or transfer home.
A perfect evening in Lindos
Here is how we would spend a summer evening in the village:
- Around 19:00: a swim at the main beach or Saint Paul’s Bay as the sun softens.
- Around 20:00: a drink with a view as the light fades over the bay.
- Around 21:00: dinner on a rooftop, under the Acropolis.
- Around 23:00: cocktails at one of the rooftop bars, or rock music at Socrates.
- After midnight: dancing at a club on its event nights, or a slow walk home through the quiet lanes.
Evenings at our hotel
Our own evenings are deliberately calm. There is no nightclub, no resort animation and no buffet. The bar opens at five, and the kitchen closes at ten. Most of our guests are in bed by midnight and on the path to the Acropolis by eight the next morning. Our Sky Bar terrace looks across the rooftops to the Acropolis, a lovely place to begin the evening.
If that sounds like your kind of evening, we would love to have you. Lindos Comfy Suites has 21 suites with COCO-MAT beds, Greek breakfast every morning and the main square a quiet five minutes’ walk downhill, close enough to walk home after dinner.
